Hmm…i got this invitation by Vincent from Penang Blogger to have a Chinese New Year Gathering, this Sunday, 2pm… I cant even believe that i got myself invited… Haha… after all Im not those really ‘active’ , big-time, bloggers… I just blog when i have free time and out of fun… Haha… When i check my blog today, i was kinda shock to see a new comment by ‘Vincent’, someone i do not know, on my latest post… I was excited at first… coz this is like, the first time someone i do not know drop me a comment… Then i was shocked…to get an invitation to a gathering by Penang Blogger(Not to mention the ‘bangga’-ness that starts to developed in me too…Hehe)
Well, then i surfed to the Penang Blogger’s blog, the Penang Blogger Directory, and found my blog listed at number 166. Not bad eh ? Haha… i cant believe that i actually got myself listed… ><! Hehe… Some of my friends that actualy blogged more than me is not even listed… ><! (Hey, dun get me wrong OK ? I know i do sound a little show-off, but then…its really something to be ‘bangga’ about…at least for me ><!) Haha… So now, what should i do with it? Should i go or not ? Well, I’ll have to see to it first… Depends on situation. If i decided to go, I’ll sure to blog it out. =)

*P/s to Vincent: If you’re reading this, hope you don’t mind my ‘childishness’ + ‘terlebih bangga’ + ‘perasan’ expressions… ><! Just too excited as this is my first time that i got something from blogging…=) *

OtakuZone @ The Star !

Monday, January 16th, 2006

Yeah !! The moment that was long awaited was finally here ! Yaa-Ta !!! Finally, there’s gonna be a corner in the newspaper thats totally dedicated to anime and mangasSuGoI !~~! Im so happy and excited when I read the newspaper yesterday morning to find out that they’re gonna start a 3-page Weekly Anime and Manga section ! By fans…for fans !!! I really really (hontu-ni) support this effort ! Really hope it wont turn out to be just ‘hangat-hangat tahi ayam’… =)

And what is all these sayings that anime = porn ? Thats totally absurd ! (Read that : ABSURD!) KeSoh !~~! >< ! Kudos to The Star for straightening things up… Just because certain animes contain hentai-ish elements doesn’t mean that its totally hentai OK ??? Its just like the series aired on the TVs for example… Don’t tell me that just because there are romance scenes, and those sexy-sexy stuffs, its considered as porn ?? Totally absurd ! What nonsence is these? I’ve been watching so many anime and don’t tell me that I’ve been watchin porn ??? ><!!

I readily agree with the article saying that animes and mangas as ‘eye-opener’… We can really learn a lot of things through animes and mangas… We can even learn a lot of ‘life philosophies’ or ‘life lessons’ through animes and mangas… For example, the Principle of Equivalent Trade is actually adopted from the anime/manga series titled FullMetal Alchemist… and also not to forget all those ’semangat-semangat’ stuffs present in titles such as SlamDunk!, Naruto, Bleach and many more… =)

The cool thing about animes and mangas is that theres so many types of them… Its like theres an anime/manga series for everyone… If you like sports, theres many titles under that category… Basketball? - SlamDunk!Tennis? - Prince of TennisFootball? - Captain Tsubasa… Not a sports fan? Nevermind… theres others… Samurai Sword-fighting series? Rurouni Kenshin a.k.a Samurai-XSamurai ChamplooSamurai 7Samurai Deeper KyoNinja suits you more? NarutoFlame of Recca… Ok ok… so fighting stuffs just ain’t your type ? Prefer Science-fic more? Try Full Metal Alchemist… thats a really cool ’sci-fi’ anime… one of my personal favourites… Mecha series perhaps? GundamMacrossTransformers… Theres also those ‘fantasy’ or ‘adventure’ series as well… such as the infamous DragonballBleachOne Piece…and many more… Ok ok… You dont like all those…those are too ‘boy-ish’ ? You like all those ‘love-love’ or ‘romance’ scenes ? Theres many ’shoujo’ or ’shonen’ genres…or basically mean ‘teenage’ mangas and anime titles around… SuzukaAishiteru ze BabyChobits… and many more, just to name a few… AAhhh… If i were to plainly talk about the types of manga/anime, i think the list will go on and on and will not end… Theres just so many types of it… Imagine, theres even a title for Japanese Chess (known as GO) called Hikaru no Go… Theres even a title about cooking - Cooking Master Boy… I heard that there’s even a series on fishing… theres just so many of them… =)

The next cool thing about animes and mangas must be the cutenessbwahahaha ! More often than not, you’ll find that those characters in the anime/mangas are really cutesimply kawaai ! KyAaa!~~! Haha… all those bishojo and bishonen(key : bishonen = pretty boy, bishojo = pretty girl) The arts… just so cute...so kawaai… some can make u just feel like taking them (the characters) and pinching or hugging or what ever just bcoz they’re soooooOOOoo cuteBwahahhaha… **Opps…i think my thoughts are expressed a little too ‘exaggerated’…but who cares? haha!**

Hmm…i guess thats all for now la… the point is that i REally REeally support The Star for coming up with this ‘Anime/Manga Corner’ thingy… I really hope that more people will start to be interested into Mangas and AnimesThe StarDo your best! Gambatte !!

Life Philosophy in Newton’s Law of Motion

Friday, January 13th, 2006

Well, I was in my Pure Maths class with this lecturer, Mr. Low, when he suddenly about this Life Philosophy that could be found in the Newton’s Law of Motion… He started by saying that Sir Isaac Newton is not just a scientist but also a philosopher… Its really facinating that I decided to blog about it… =)

Newton’s 1st Law of Motion:
Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that
state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

In other words, an object that is moving will continue moving with a constant velocity unless an external force act on it. Likewise, an object that is at rest, a.k.a not moving, will not move unless an external force act on it. However, according to Mr. Low, Newton’s 1st Law of Motion can also be interpreted from the philosophical point of view… He says that from the 1st Law, we know that an object will continue its motion until an external force acts on it… In our life, this applies to all of us… The ‘motion’ is our behaviour, or attitude, or actions, or whatever else, that will lead to an ‘effect’, either positive or negative… The effect is caused by our ‘motion’, i.e, if we do it this way, we’ll surely end up that way…that sort of thing… e.g : If we were to be lazy, we’ll surely end up with low grades on our test… and this ’cause-effect’ thingy will always continue, repeating its cycle, UNLESS an ‘external force’ is acted upon the ‘motion’… And what is this ‘external force’ that we’re talking about? The ‘external force’ could be from ourself, or from someone else… e.g : If we were to be lazy (the ‘motion’), we’ll get poor results (the ‘effect’)… but if somewhere…in between the ‘motion’ we suddenly realise that our lazyness causes poor results and try to change our behaviour, then the effect or result will also be changed… In this case, our own initiative or self-realisation of our bad behaviours or attitude is the ‘external force’ that acted upon our ‘motion’ and caused it to change… External force can also come from someone or somthing else… e.g : if we’re lazy, we get poor results, then we get scoldings from our parents… after getting scoldings, we decided to change our attitude to be more hardworking… In this case, our parent’s scolding is the ‘external force’ that acted upon our ‘motion’… =)

Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion:
The rate of change of momentum of a body is equal to the resultant force acting on the body and is in the same direction.

In other words, the infamous equation, F = ma , if the mass is constant. This too, has a philosophical interpretation. According to Mr. Low, the Force (F) refers to the ‘external force’ discussed earlier on top. The Mass (m) refers to our own self, and it’s a constant, as there are things about us that we just can’t change. Some examples are our age, birthplace, and so on. The Acceleration (a) refers to the ‘improvement’ that acts upon us. If the ‘force’ is good/positive, then it will result in positive ‘acceleration’ or ‘improvement’ on the ‘mass’ or ‘ourself’. However, if the ‘force’ is bad/negative, it will result in negative ‘acceleration’ or ‘improvement’ on the ‘mass’ or ‘ourself’. In other words, ‘deceleration’ or ‘deteriorate’. Therefore, it is important of us to choose to do the right thing (positive ‘force’ = ‘improvement’). For example, we shouldn’t smoke, take drugs and stuffs (negative ‘force’)… =)

Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion:
For every action, there is an equal and opposite re-action

Simply put, Action = Reaction. This also applies in our life…as interpreted from the philosophical point of view. Whatever we done(action), we’ll definitely get a return(reaction)e.g : If we love our parents, our parents will love us too. If we do something unkind to others, then we will receive unkind treatment from others too… This is very much like ‘karma’ or even the ‘Principle of Equivalent Trade’ (P.O.E.T). In the P.O.E.T, everything that happens is ‘equivalent trade’, in other words, what you do is what you get… I don’t wish to eleborate more on the P.O.E.T, at least for this current post (hey, its about Newton’s Law…come on~~!) Check out my previous posts on the P.O.E.T if you wish… and drop any comments if you like… we can ‘discuss’ it… =)

Ok ok… guess thats all about the ‘Life Philosophy’ that could actually be found in Newton’s Law of Motion. Credits to Mr. Low for such a facinating interpretation. I welcome any comments or discussions that any of you readers might have in mind. =) Oops, i think i gotta stop here now, as its getting real late…and i gotta go sleep (its already 1.37 am on the clock at ‘typing’ time) Gotta wake up early tomorrow as I have my eye-checkup. =)

A-Levels…A New Beginning…A New Life…

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

Hi again… Looks like i slacked along the way and didn’t really care to update my blog and write a few posts when I’m free… I’ve actually planned a few posts to blog about… But seems like it just got abandoned along the way… Some due to some problems that happen, some due to lazyness, and some due to lack of time… Well, anyway, since today I’m kinda free, I’ve decided to post a blog, to update about my current situation and… just to update my blog… =)

Well, I’m now doing this Cambridge GCE A-Level Pre-U course at KDU Penang Campus(not trying to ‘bangga’, just updating on myself…) Science, of course, is my field of interest and science it is, that i am studying… The programme is a 18 months programme and it should finish it by around June of next year, year 2007… My timetable is kinda ‘hectic’ and ‘full’ since i have classes almost everyday, save for Sundays… Most of my day, classes start at about 9am and finish about 5pm… And since i’m staying at Butterworth, and i’m travelling everyday… I have to leave at 8am, which means I gotta wake up at about 7am everyday… My Saturday classes are not part of the A-Level programme but its those ‘Compulsory Subjects’ or ‘Mata Pelajaran Wajib’ as imposed by the government… i.e those LAN subjects… As for now, my Saturday classes are for the subject LAN 1005 - Pengajian Moral… I may have to take LAN 1003 - Pengajian Malaysia in the next few semesters after I’ve cleared the LAN 1005 - Pengajian Moral subject…
- Ish…how boring is that… I thought that I could forget about studying Pendidikan Moral after my Form 5, but looks like there’s just no escape… Arrghh…just gotta bear with it… Just pass it and forget it… =)

Well, guess thats all… sorrie for not updating that often… I’ll try to post more often in the days to come… =)
