Greeting Cards of Memories…

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

Hie… Its been a while since i posted anything… Been kinda busy lately… =) Well well… Chinese New Year has passed… My birthday passed too… Hehehe… =P Well, first of all, I would like to say thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday and also those who actually bought me a gift… Thankz very much people! I really really appreciate it… =D And for those who wish me late, doesn’t matter anyway… Its great to know that you still remember me… =D For those who totally forgotten about me, or didnt get to wish me… its OK… I understand… I’m not gonna make a fuzz about it and get mad and stuffs… Still friends rite? =D It happens to me sometimes too you know… ><! hehehe… =P
Well… referring to the title, you might guess that i’m kinda emotional rite now… Truth is, I was kinda emotional the past few days… A few days ago, i was clearing my desk when i came across new year cards and birthday cards that was given to me since primary school till my last year of school… (Yep~! I still keep all the cards given to me by friends, although i might have lost a few of them… ><!) It feels so nostalgic when i reopened one by one and read the cards… Of cos, most of the cards don’t really have much writing in it… those with writings and messages bring back even more memories… Hehehhe… It also remind me of the times when i give cards to some of my friends, sometimes… ><! I know i dont really give cards to people, but for the few times that i do, i remember how i planned what to write in the cards… and stuffs like that… =)
Reading those old cards make me think back of the past and how time has passed by so fast… Somehow, i wish that i can go back to time and relive those days… but of course, that’s impossible… =) Anyway, to all my friends out there, new or old, near or apart, i would like to thank you all for your friendship… Most of my secondary school friends have already left to somewhere else for education or other purpose… Sigh… Thinking of all these makes me feel a little emotional and sad… ><! I hope that someday and sometime, i could reunite with my old friends… All of them… and relive those days… =)

Busy Days…

Heyy… Lately been kinda busy and had not much time to update my blog… ><! Well… Chinese New Year’s just around the corner, and, yeah… helped out a little in the house… Hehehe… Studies is getting more and more harder and complicated too… Sometimes i find it hard to just keep track of what is being taught… Well… thats not really a good sign… Hahaha… Anyway, i was just thinking about my studies just now, and here’s a really brief summary of my classes’ progress…

Mathematics : Ahead of schedule
Chemistry : Seems to be on schedule
Biology : A little off, should be OK
Physics : Way behind schedule

And by schedule, i mean coverage of syllabus, lessons, and stuffs like that… Well, theres not really much time left till my A2 examinations… I’ll be having my A2 exams on May… Trials should be on April… And its like, even though it seems like we still have about 3 months time, but reality is that, maybe we have only 2 months or even less than that… February’s coming to an end soon… With all the holidays and all… seems to be really short of time><! Well, just hope that everything will be all right in the end of the day… =)

So, I might not be able to update my blog that regularly anymore and i apologise in advance (not like many people read it anyway… =P) And, I sincerely wish anyone reading this line a very very prosperous and happy Chinese New Year to you… All the best… Even if you don’t celebrate it, i still wish you all the best… =D

The Crowded House…

Saturday, February 3rd, 2007

There once lived a poor farmer who had a very large family, and lived in a very small house. His house was so crowded that his children had to take turns to sleep in one tiny bed. At last, he couldn’t stand it any longer. So he went to see the village head and ask him what to do about his impossible situation.
The wise village head thought hard and long and at last he had an idea. "I will tell you what to do," he said. "Bring your chicken to live with you inside the house." The farmer couldn’t understand how the chicken would help, but he trusted the village head’s wisdom and did as he was told. But as soon as the chicken was inside the house, it grew frightened and flapped around the room, scattering its feathers everywhere.
So the farmer went back to the village head and complained. "It only makes things worse," he said. "In that case," said the village head, "bring in the goat to join your family and the chicken." The farmer was even more confused, but he did as he was told. Soon the goat was running around eating everything he could see. First it ate the farmer’s bedsheets, and then it started on the children’s clothes.
The farmer hurried back to the village head. "My house is even more crowded than ever!" he cried. "In that case, bring in your cow to live with your family, the chicken and the goat." The farmer could not understand what was going at all, but he trusted the village head’s wisdom. So he went home and brought in the cow. But the huge cow immediately knocked over all the pots and pans and plates. By now, the house was so crowded that nobody was able to move.
The farmer rushed off once more to see the village head. "Village head," he cried, "there is no room to breathe in my house. If it stays like this, we will all go mad!" "Don’t worry," said the village head. "I have another idea. Go home and take the chicken, the goat, and the cow out of the house." The farmer went back and did as the village head said. He put all the animals back in the yard, and then an amazing thing happened. Without the animals, the house seemed as big as a mansion. There was room for all his children, his wife and himself. So the farmer and his family learned how to appreciate what they had, and they lived happily ever after in their huge little house.

Moral of the story : We must learn to appreciate things that are around us. Although some things may not seem significant, but without them, we may not be able to carry out our life as usual. =)
